Pretoria youth

By Johan Retief

On Sunday, 18 April the youth of the Pretoria, South Africa, congregation had an enjoyable outing to the zoo. It was sponsored by the Pretoria church, and apart from the fellowship that took place, discussions were held on the way forward for the youth to become more involved in the Church’s mission.

The fourteen young people agreed on the following aims: first to pursue sustainable involvement and participation in the church. Second, to aspire to having a youth service once a month and thirdly to uphold an ongoing SEP spirit.

They also decided on four broad objectives: to empower the youth, to create a favourable environment for participation, to enhance praise and worship for youth motivation and to establish a youth choir. A task team was also elected to take charge of these aims and objectives. For further information and to support these activities the following persons can be contacted: Jessica Pearce (082) 676 0605, Ephraim Ramodike (072) 212 3950 or ejramodike@yahoo.com, and Thando Msiza (072) 229 2469 or st.msiza@absamail.co.za
