Why
the Pilgrims were thankful By modern
standards, the Pilgrims were deep in poverty — but
they were rich in gratitude. The previous winter, more than half of them had died from bad weather, hunger and illness. Now they faced another winter. But the
Pilgrims were not shaken in faith. They
were thankful for the life they had.
