hi im a i grow up in the Church along with this kid. I really am sad for him coz his into drugs and i know why...i pray for him but what else can i do? we've grown apart lately...--concerned bystander

Comment: As kids growing up together in the church, it is really a sad thing to know that some of your friends are wasting their lives away in wrongful or sinful living. But you know what, God has a way of waking them up to reality in his own good time. He will discipline them (and all of us) because He loves us. Just continue praying for your friend and continue showing love/friendship to him/her. God will deal with your friend in his own good time because he/she is also a child of God.

Hello ate My, matagal na rin tayo di nagkita (on-line or on-life). It's great to hear that your all OK.Yup ur right, sometimes we have a tendency to be apathetic towards the conditions of people, especially kami na di masyado dinaanan ng mga bagyo. It had to take the television for us to be moved to pray for the victims and the people who are trying to help them.

Sunday, December 12, 2004

hello crybaby! life is meaningful, if you just look up to God.. I know, God knows what you feel, He cares for you, i'm sure! remember, if we pause to think, we'll find cause to thank... there's a lot of things to be thankful to God... You just pray, and seek Him -^_^---->Sarah of Legaspi... (",)

hello crybaby, i think it's just normal for us to get really depressed sometimes. ako nga, there are really times when i feel really off and i dont have any idea why i feel that way. maybe because in our physiologic displacement, we tend to reach a point of burned out--the feeling of "ive-got-enough-of-it-all" dilemma. perhaps the best way to overcome this is try to unwind a bit. you go and watch for a movie, or even sleep the whole day if you want to. basta the key there is dont push too hard on yourself. remember whether or not we'd like to take a pause from it all, still we need to be refreshed just like a computer that bogged down because of memory full. take it easy, life is meant to be enjoyed. i hope somehow that appease you.. Godspeed. --*kArU*

Comment: Hi Carousel. Thanks for the good advice. Yes, a time to relax and unwind once in a while is a very good idea especially if one is loaded with work and a lot of concerns.

Wednesday, December 08, 2004

hhmm... i always feel sad for no reasons.. or d ko pa alam kung ano ang mga reasons.. basta.. i feel sad.. and it gives me headache! hehe.. how can i overcome this? anyone? please help me out? -crybaby

Comment: Hello Crybaby. In addition to Carousel's good advice above, we must not discount the spiritual realm which is just as real. Proverbs 4:23 tells us to guard our hearts -- that is, guard our thoughts and feelings. Ephesians 2:1-3 says that there's a "ruler of the kingdom of the air" busily working, transmitting and broadcasting his negative influences on all of us to try to destroy us and ruin our day. This could be the reason for being sad for no reason at all. We must not allow moods or negative influences to rule over us. It must be controlled. We are told to be transformed by the renewing of our minds (Romans 12:2). Hope this helps.

hi andoi, andru. c ate My ito. you are right, it's great to be in God's side. The question is not: Is God in my side? What we need to answer is are we in His side? That is what we need to be always conscious of -- to be in God's side. God bless u both. I'm always encouraged of your passion for Him.

Thank you for praying for us—your Bicol brethren. Though there were damages in infrastructure and crops in Albay, we were spared from the strength of all recent typhoons, including Super Typhoon Yoyong. Hardly hit in the region were Camarines provinces and Catanduanes, but not so much compared with the destruction wrought in Quezon, Aurora and other Northern Provinces. May our concern pass through our congregational walls and look beyond our fellowship such that our hearts go out to them who were victims of natural disaster and man’s selfish acts. Let us pray for them as well and help in anyway we can. Looking at the devastation in the environment, in properties, in infrastructures and crops, much more the loss of lives in these much affected places, brings me down my knees, crying and earnestly praying for the loving hands of Jesus be upon these people. My heart longs for “His Kingdom Come!” -- the only way I believe could end all the misery and pain. It brings the significance of the Advent nearer to heart – looking forward with hope and joyful expectation to the second coming of Jesus! -Myra Narido (Legaspi)

Comment: Hi Myra. Glad to know all's well with our Bicol brethren.

It's nice to know the symbolism involved within these Christmas paraphernalias. Especially the Advent wreaths. So it's not just a commercialized thing really, but an age-old tradition of Christian symbolisms, gradually forgotten in essence through the decades. --veejay

Last Sunday, November 28, was our very first time to celebrate the first Sunday of Advent in the WCG Davao City congregation. It was a moving experience. It's so good to celebrate the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. May you all have a deeper and closer relationship with Him during this Advent season.

Hey Ian!! So great to hear from you here! How's it been? Haven't heard from you in a while. Those are very encouraging verses you wrote there. Hello! Kamusta Ka! Kamusta Na! Greetings to all the youth in the Philippines (Pinoy), from WCG Auckland youth & family New Zealand! So cool to hear Gods love and movement in so many young people in the Philippines and very encouraging to hear of the baptisms during the latest Mindanao SEP. Greetings to the Davao youth group, Veejay, Ann, Goldwyn, Bingkai and Kuya, Sharon and Ate and younger brother, Dianne (Sweet), and those who may not know me yet. Whoever may be reading this greetings, "OH, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. "Psalm 136:1 We are a small youth at the moment in New Zealand, but our hope comes from God. Three youth from the North Island New Zealand are planning to travel to the SEP in Australia about 3rd Jan 2005, I think about a 40km drive out of Sydney. My friends Jonathan Smith (Auckland), William Crump (Hamilton) and Arlene Smith (Wellington). All looking forward to it! To those who have written about unsure friendships, I hope you may have received encouragement and wise advice. Pray without ceasing (1 Thes 5:17), Trust in Him (God) at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. (Psalm 62:8). ...Speaking the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). I will lift up my eyes to the hills- From whence comes my help? My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. The LORD shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in From this time forth and even forevermore. (Psalm 121:1-3, 7-8) God bless you all, In Gods love --Ian Wood

Comment: Hi Ian (and to all your friends out there in NZ and Australia), welcome to this youth forum!
