have our individual concerns, problems,
and worries in life ..these things are
normal but remember that by dwelling and
carrying these things are unnecessary
because we have Jesus Christ in us that
we could entrust ourselves in! Remember
the song "Trading My Sorrows"
? We should always remember the message
in that song.. Let us trade our sorrows,
our pains, our shame to God and say YES
LORD! and follow Him.. In His presence,
there is fulness of joy, diba? I know
you can surpass the challenges that you
are encountering now.. and thanks for
opening it up BOLDLY here in Youthoughts!

dust: I just do pray that the opinions
of the others would be of much help to
you., and yeah, thanks for opening it
up. Actually, when i first read your
comment, na-guilty ko kay sa kung
"age maturity" lang ang
basehan, im not that "mature"
yet.. but when I accepted the challenge
of serving the camp as a counselor,
grabe ang prayers nako..i prayed that
even in my young age, God will use me to
be an instrument of helping-out and
reaching out to the teens that will be
under me..and as far as i have observed
sa akong mga campers and what happened
during the camp, i know that God has
blessed us and used us sa camp. Dili jud
ta makabalo kung kinsa ang gamiton ni
Lord na magserve.. like sa examples ni
1G counselor, si Timothy and Joshua..God
looks at the heart.. sometimes, we can
not really understand ngano ing-ana ang
mga things.. kasi.. human standards lang
na.. always remember that HIS WAYS are
not our ways.. yun.. i hope i can meet
you soon.. see you next camp! thanks for
dropping in your thoughts pala.. i

dust! I just want to give a comment of
what you wrote. You know summer
enrichment program is a good example of
practicing our selves to be confident
and indepent. If youre confused of your
self just do your best and think wisely.
Pero just believe in your self na kaya
mo yan! Ano man ang darating na
troubles. Para sa amo mga campers your a
big part of us na dili namo makalimtan.
We the campers can accept you even
though confused paka sa self nimo. Kung
kaya nimo tulungan ang mga campers of
their problems puede man pud me mo
tulong as a campers. Malay mo. Kasi
kahit na bata pa man may mga advantages
din na maging matured yung isip namin
pagdating sa mga bagy na yan. Puede mo
nanamg hanapin ang sarili mo and always
have faith in god kasi he always knows
whats best for you. Alam mo kahit
counselor ka puede mo kaming turuan sa
ibang paraan. Try to catch up kung ano
man ang nasa isip namin, kung matured na
ba o hindi pa. Meron naman kasing iba na
maliit pa ang age na matured na ang isip
meron naman ding iba na matanda na bata
pa rin yung isip. It differs naman kasi.
Hindi maiintindihan ng isang matandang
isip bata ang isang matured na advice.
Mas maintindihan ito ng isang batang
matured na ang isip. Try to open your
self to god. Makikita mo rin ang sagot.
All i can say is hanapin mo muna sarili
mo. dahil ikaw ang mas nakakaalam kung
anong makakbuti sa yo.

camper for 8 times and so far sa akong
na counselor there a lot of differences
pero naa jud isa sa na counselor nako na
partly gnhan ko partly dli..kay minsan

mi gnhan na mga campers niya, kay
sometimes man jud dli xa ga kuhawa ug
mga idea sa amo na iya mga campers..Dust
sa ako lng noh ok kau ang mga counselors
ug asst. counselors sa wlay
pagpaborpabor na istorya..at least they
listen to what thier campers want and
sila pud making some ways na mhatg nila
ang need sa campers nile pero kng wla
jud din wla..but the main point is the
staff,counselors and asst. counselors
did their very best..I congratulate them
for that..i know na na councelor pud ka
last tym..but i hope na dli personal
interest ang imong pag bring up ani na
topic..cguro nxt tym ma counselor na pud

there dust... as a camper i really think
that all the counselors and asst.
counselors did there job very
well..though there are times that some
of them though feel like a camper but as
far as im concerned they did there best
for the campers..kung hindi nila gnawa
ang knilang part dba mag kakaroon ng gap
between campers and counelors!? but as i
have seen we campers are very close to
our counselors and asst.cunselors..hindi
nman dahil most of them are close to
me..as i have just observed campers are
close to them..some campers are first
timers so probably they are shy to
approach thier counselors, but as u see
the counselors and asst. counselors are
reaching for them not to become shy and
to open up...and if ur saying about
"age maturity"..hindi lng nman
ang babasihan dba?wat if yan ang pinag
basihan mo "age
maturity",paano kung his/her not
matured in emotional,mental and
spiritual di bali wla pa rin ang age
maturity!?ayt?i think ur the girl who
worte some comments in the freedom wall
sa girls..ayt? nweis im not bias in my
observation...baka kasi masabi mo na

u do enjoy dis years SEP camp... For the
campers... this has been a moment to
enjoy life, to feel dat you belong and
meet more new friends. For SEP staff and
counselors... it is also time to respond
on God's call for us, and it is our
opportunity to help reap what God has
sown.
Got
some questions in mind. For me, being a
councelor is not just taking a
responsibility for being a leader sa
dorm, or caretakers of their campers,
but also as a Counselor who cud give
advices to a youth, teaching them to
know about God and helping them know who
is God to them. It looks like a simple
task but it requires a mature sense of
thinking. Pardon me and i dont mean to
hurt anybody.but dis is how i care about
d camp.i think we should consider Age
maturity (in general basis) especially
for a counselor. coz most of the time we
are dealing them as their ate and kuya's
who dey think is mature and responsible
enough to take care of them while away
from their homes and parents. Youth or
teen stage is too sensitive in emotions,
feelings, and personal reactions. How
can we teach them if we ourselves is
confused and did not yet understand much
of ourself.i hope you get my point... i
am open for any comments suggestion or
reactions... pls comply, i need ur
thoughts and ideas. -dust-

Hello Dust. I agree with you that
counselors should be mature. I did
consider it. But more than "age
maturity" or physical maturity, I
gave more consideration to emotional,
mental and spiritual maturity. I
considered greatly the attitude. All of
our counselors and assistants did a very
fine job for the Lord in so far as I'm
concerned and I'm pleased with it. I
prayed to God to give me the best
counselors and assistants and I believe
God answered my prayer. God surely did
bless the camp. I have no problem having
them all again (boy and girl counselors)

at first i cudnt imagine wat SEP cud be
without preparing for it. We came der
unknowing wat wud be the plans and
activities. but it was their bit of a
surprise! the games was fun and tiring
(satisfied!), the food thou, was quite
different from ader kitchen but were
satistified! and hey... d outland
wilderness skill... it was so great! nag
Amazing Race pa kami in d whole city of
quezon. And most of all, the harvest was
plenty! allow me to say congratulations
to the 38 campers hu has offered der
lives to God. Welcome to the family
