Hello my young friends... I would like to respond to the JoshGen in Mindanao on November 4- 5. Please send me your needs and concerns, anticipated ministry challenges so that I can begin planning and preparing the materials for that. Maybe we can also pray that our Visayas counterparts would be able to join us in Musuan.. (really loved the place...kahit hindi ako taga Bukidnon.. parang gusto ko nang kumanta ng "Bukidnon my home....!"

This Festival in Baguio - we are also squeezing a mini-Josh Gen for Northern Luzon and in the last AS meeting, it was impressed upon me that we also need to look into doing one in Bicol area.

Please communicate your concerns so that we can have a really productive time - I am really looking forward to it.

One of the things that I am trying to impress here with Clayground youths is that - ministry is from God, made possible through God and it is to bring glory to God (Romans 11:36). If that is the ministry that is being given to a specific church - then I am confident that our Lord will provide the manpower, provision and the favor needed for that. Yes there are times when the monetary aspect seems to be more challenging - but we need to look it from God's perspective. Our lack of resources will always drive us back to God. Our inadequacies will always bring us down to our knees - and then let God do what he does best - perform miracles in our midst.

Sometimes we may have to wait for the resources to come. In times when money is a scarcity (ministry and personal) I always realize that it is never a question of God's faithfulness, but rather a testing or refining of my trust and faith. So my prayer goes to all of you out there who may be receiving a burden from our Lord - and may He surprise you and give you the desires of your heart (actually it is His desire for you) in your meditations of the Lord. Magco-comment din ako sa "Ministry" question: Bukod sa mga na-mention na ministries, meron din diyang Children's Ministry or Sunday School, Making-new-members-and-special guests/visitors-warmly-welcomed ministry, Food-and-ligpit-pinagkainan ministry, Clean-and-prepare-the-meeting-hall ministry, and many others you yourself may even come up with. Sa 'ministry' you are using your God-given Talents/Special Skills/Capabilities, and Time to help the church in its specific needs. Well, hindi lang din ito naka-confine sa church. Pwede itong mag-extend sa labas ng simbahan. For example, you love making rounds of visitations sa mga may sakit, o yung mga hindi na nag-aattend, or yeah, sa prison, sa malalayong churches, etc. O kaya kung may mga special projects or outreach programs ang church or (any organization), you to take part as a volunteer, a contact, a fund-raiser, etc. It's generally what service you can do regardless of where you are and what little means you have. You won't always need a grand-scale project just to serve and have a so-called 'ministry'.

Ang tanong: May malaking heart ka ba na mag-serve at ipahiram ang mga gifts mo at free time mo sa isang specific na ministry? Kung oo ang sagot, then that's probably your ministry. Seek the Lord's guidance and wisdom first, and remember that it's not all about You, it's all for Him! :) --- Veejay

hello classmate of maybelle! yep, i agree with ate ann.. try to befriend your parents too.. most of the time, we think that they cannot understand us..and most of the time too, our parents think that we cannot understand them...(toink) So, as their children, we are still under their supervision and guidance.. so.. we have to try to obey them first and be submissive to them.. it is not too difficult, tell yah! try to talk to your parents when you have problems (school stuff or peer stuff,etc)..and see the results..;o) When I was a teenager, (though bataon pa ghapon ko) it never came to me that I'd be as "open" to my parents as I am now. There were times way back that I thought they would never understand the things that I am going through..but when I started sharing my thoughts to them little by little in each day.. I began to realize that parents can be my bestfriends too.. The best thing about having your 'rents as your friends is ..you can share ALL your secrets (even your most upsetting and embarassing moments) and you are very sure that you will have their loyalty, trust, and love. Try to practice it..Because for me, it really worked. Pray for your parents too!

Guys! let's all thank our parents today and make them feel special. Always remember that the Lord has entrusted our beauties to them.. hehe.. God bless us all! ;o) --kai

I miss P1(athea), yogi, VJ, Badak, sparkplug(bingkai), Pedz, Sha, Ilaga, Wangot...tanaaaaaaaaaan :) Friends nako from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao...

i bet we all have been going through some happy, tough and thinking times.. had a lot of changes coming..(like Ayana, Marmie ug Monet, ni-bloom lang ug kalit!, si Andru, naa nay work*congrats*) even changes beyond the physical... personality, career, family life, lovelife... I am just thankful that through all the changes in our lives (in my life, to be personal) there is an UNCHANGING GOD who never gets tired of loving His children.

hello classmate of Maybelle (i hope i know who you are since i am here in cdo too.. ) encourage your friend to treat her parents as her friend. I had the same problem when i was younger too... I had trouble telling my parents, and even older siblings, how i feel, what's upsetting me and all things that's going on in my life. It was not difficult to obey what they tell me... I grew to be emotionally distant as i just tend to follow without being open. Looking back, i wish i have treated them like bestfriends. I love my parents, I always have. I just wish i could be more expressive...

Just tell Maybelle to love her parents and let them know. Her parents love her for sure, maybe there are just things that has to be talked about. :)

Hello everyone here, just dropping by here, ask lang po? ano ba ang tunay na ministry? when we talk about ministry. What is true ministry in our church? im just doubt on some pastors na mag sasabi na we cannot move on to do the ministry kung wala tayong pera. Can you define, what is Ministry? kung gagawa tayo ng isang ministry it depends on money? ===== In His Steps

Comment: Ministry simply means service. To minister is to serve. Paul is clear in Ephesians 4:1-13 (and other related passages) that each Christian has been given gifts "for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ (KJV)." Find out what gifts God has given you and serve in that capacity. Most likely, that's the ministry God has given you to do. Is it in music ministry? Youth ministry? Prison ministry? Have an assessment of your spiritual gifts. Ask your friends where you can best serve. It could be where God would want you to serve and do ministry.

The same is true with the local church. What has God given to a particular local church? What gifts stand out most in a particular local church? That would most likely be the ministry where they could best serve.

Of course, money can be a factor in doing ministry but that should not hinder us. It may hinder us to some extent but it should not hinder us completely. These are "challenges" as we do ministry. 

We can find ways and means to do ministry with the least expense, no expense at all, or we can raise funds so that we can do ministry. Do you know that fund raising is also a ministry according to Dr. Manfred Kohl? And do you know that some of the most effective ministries do not need a lot of funds?

This web ministry (including the weekly updates) is an example of a service (or ministry) with a very low budget. It all started for a good number of years without any budget at all! 

Be bold and creative in doing ministry. Find ways to raise funds if need be. Let us attempt to do great things for God! Do it for His glory! --Pastor Len

How about trying to understand your parents not by doing what you want to do but for a change, just really, really try to understand why they want you to obey them?
