On politics: I'm pro with the political system change. Federalism will decentralize the authority from the national government. It allows independent states to create their own laws. Basta in my opinion, the republican system is not effective because i think local laws must be passed to the Congress and approved by the senate to be implemented-natatagalan lalo ang pagimplement. And I also think that by decentralizing, more income will return to the local governments because only a lesser % of the income will go to the nat'l gov't--more or less like our Church's system...pero dili ko totally sure ani... May mga Pol Sci studes ba tayo dito or political analysts?...-drÜks

Anong masasabi ko sa SONA ni PGMA??? Ito lang, "What exactly is a Parliament-Federalist(?) governing system that PGMA is proposing in replacement to our present political system?". Yun lang. I'm not very familiar kasi with it eh, lalo na parang naa-associate ko ang Parliament to monarchy, and Federalism 

to American politics. hehehe. But it sounds kinda nice (sounds lang! hehe)... it's a huge break from the well-abused term, "democratic". How about you? How do feel about this kind of system? Preferable ba sa tingin niyo ang proposal ni Madam President? 

As for praying for her (PGMA), well, I think we should always include our country in our prayers (as well as our leaders, to govern it wisely) and not just when the country is deep politico-economic crises that we remember to include it in our petitions to the Lord. A-N-T-O-S ?? hahay..anyway...i watched the SONA yesterday...and i can say that PGMA was "playing-safe" with her SONA...rather than having a long address...and saying many things...she opted to make it short...so as not to "irritate" the public more... :)...actions may speak louder now than her words...(",) -jhayz

i missd GMA's SONA..but i coudnt possibly care less. i would surely be hearing the same thing anyway..you know, the so-called "pagimik na kwento" or the "feel good promises". i remember when i was still in a college publication, i was once an active ralliest, i abhor even the slighest violation of human right..i engaged in rallies which lasted overnight, you name it..in contrast to the time when estrada was practically forced to step down, this time iv heard there are only few who rallied against Gloria. and ever wonder why? well i think the main reason is this: THE WHOLE FILIPINO COMMUNITY IS ALREADY NUMB about the issue. it's always been the same story..people who are greedy will do great heights to gain and sustain power..while others who are envy will try to find loopholes in your administration. it makes us wonder,where would christians situate themselves in the whole picture..?i think praying wouldnt be just enough. let us remember that the only thing that give credence to a person is his credibility to have good decisions..and good decisions should be stemmed out from one's faith ALONE.once an individual is aware of this, he is somehow conscious of what is rightful and what's not in the eyes of GOd. sadly, GMA and most of our political leaders are not grounded on that..but on other things (greed,money, power, popularity). how sad we have leaders who are not truly pro-people but pro-themselves. _KARU_

No bais,pero I just love the example mee Pader gave in his sermon last Sunday.He used the example of kings David and Saul. Many of us know the story, Samuel already anointed the young David as king but he did not force his way to the throne.Even when David knew that Saul was disobeying God and was no longer ruling the nation righteously he continued to respect him and consider him as God's anointed... But I also believe that when we discern that there is something wrong with a system, we can do our part to bring change...my example is Jesus...Ü

I don't think I would want GMA to resign. Resignation is not the answer. I used to be an activist. I tried a lot of rallies already but one thing I came to realize...it's not the answer, hindi solusyon ang rally. Most people in this city are tired already of impeachment proceedings. Ito ang problema ng mga Pinoy, instead na gumawa ng paraan para umunlad tayo, lalo nilang nilugmok ang ekonomiya natin, tapos si GMA ang dahilan...I can't deny the fact that GMA is weak in some areas pero siya lang ba? O, please! I really hate the face of ______ on TV. I even hate ________. I received an email saying, "dapat taxpayers lang ang allowed mag-vote". Agree? Ako, I think I should agree. My office is located near the rally area of this city. Days ago, I saw people walking and shouting "ARROYO RESIGN". Pero alam ba talaga nila ginagawa nila? Sino ba gusto nilang ipalit? Susan Roces? Parliamentary Government na mga uhaw sa power rin naman ang uupo? Wake up! *sabi ako ng sabi ng wake-up as if, nag-iinternet ang mga nagrally days ago at mabasa nila toh! urgh!* Ayaw rin naman nila si Noli de Castro. Mayor Duterte of Davao City was right when he said, "I won here in Davao over de Guzman. Landslide. GMA was only up by 3,000 votes against FPJ. But never did GMA called my office to do something for her to win". =>opinion set<=
