Achievement Stacy (Malwitz) Zachman (right) from the Living Hope congregation in Champlin, MN, was admitted to the Minnesota State Bar on October 31 during a ceremony presided over by six of the seven Minnesota State Supreme Court Judges in St Paul. This ceremony was considered a "court in session" event, where the Minnesota Supreme Court Justices sat in their official capacity. Stacy graduated from the William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul.Ordinations

AnniversaryTom and Agnes Kowalski, long-time members of the Living Hope congregation in Champlin, MN, celebrated their 50th anniversary on Sept. 13. The Champlin congregation has five couples who have passed the 50-year milestone: the Fehrs, Rotziens, Skroves, Masons, and Kowalskis.Obituaries Betty Klineburger, 84, died on Nov. 10 in Issaquah, WA. She was born Betty Thunnan in Great Falls, MT, on Feb. 10, 1924. Betty grew up in Great Falls and after graduating from high school, moved to Ogden, UT, in 1942 to work at Hill Field Air Force Base, near Salt Lake City.Her future husband, Eugene (Gene), came to Ogden in 1942 as part of a military operation with the Army. They met at USO dances and hit it off on the dance floor. They married in 1944. After the war they moved to Tucson, AZ, where they bought a home and began their family of three children. In 1954 they moved to Bellevue, WA. After her husband retired from Klineburger Brothers Worldwide Taxidermy & Travel Agency, they moved to Issaquah in 1973. It was that same year that she became a member.
Along with her husband, Betty had many travel adventures around the world, including Africa, Thailand, India and Alaska. They were also active in vintage car clubs, including the Horseless Carriage Club, Mercedes Benz Club and Classic Car Club, and they were members of the Issaquah Senior Center and Seattle Flight Museum. They attended the church in Bellevue. Betty is survived by her husband of 64 years, daughter Dianna, daughter Judy (husband Kim Simonelli), son Lloyd (wife Jan) and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, along with her brother, Allen, of Denver, CO. Special thanks to Evergreen Hospice Services in Kirkland for their excellent care. Donations in memory of Betty can be made to Evergreen Hospice Services, Grace Communion International or the charity of one’s choice. She was buried at Tahoma National Cemetery. Jack Leroy Kraft, 69, of Red Bluff, CA, died August 19 following successfully treated prostate cancer, recent hip-replacement surgery, and a prolonged battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was a loving, willing servant to the Redding, CA, congregation in recent years in spite of his health concerns. He had worked in a wide range of fields over the years, from letter carrier and meter reader to long-haul trucker and heavy equipment operator. Most recently, he was retired from training people to operate earth-moving equipment. Jack lived most of his life in central and northern California. He became a member in late 1965 in San José and married Jarith Allen of Cottonwood, CA, in September 1966. He is survived by his wife, a stepdaughter, Dana Bernard, of Napa, CA, two sons, Joel, of Sacramento, and Edmund of El Cajon, CA, and Edmund’s wife, Mina, and their children Peri and Cooper.
