Cincinnati Central
signs anti-bigotry
resolution

CINCINNATI, Ohio--The Cincinnati Central congregation approved and signed an anti-bigotry resolution Jan. 15.

The resolution was sponsored by the Northern Hills Ecumenical Council, which includes eight area churches as well as the Northern Hills Synagogue B'nai Avraham.

The resolution is a repudiation of hatred and bigotry. It affirms biblical values as a response to racial unrest in both the community and in other areas of the country. It publicly declares the worth, value and dignity of all people.

Pastor George Hart presented the resolution to the Central congregation before the signing date was announced. The resolution was publicized in both the church bulletin and monthly newsletter. The advance 8-George Hart.jpg (7268 bytes)notice gave sufficient time for consideration, discussion and response.

Most members of the congregation signed the resolution after the worship service Jan. 15. Bob Badanes.
