DENVER, Colorado--Members from Denver North and Trinity Presbyterian Church combined for a Lessons and Carols service Dec. 26, celebrating the gospel message of Jesus Christ.
Scriptures with Old Testament prophecies of our coming King and
passages about the birth, life, death and resurrection of Christ were read or acted out by
members. Then a hymn or carol about the scripture passage was sung. The children's sermon
was given by a Trinity member, who used a prop to show how the light of Christ covers
darkness and as long as we rely
on Christ, we can overcome the powers of darkness.
Allen Bullock, WCG pastor, gave a message about the history of WCG. He
spoke about the way God brought our fellowship into an understanding of grace. Many WCG
members shed tears of joy for the freedom we now have in Christ.
