KALAMAZOO, Michigan--The Kalamazoo congregation, pastored by Wilhelm Mandel, had its fifth annual Black History celebration Feb. 5. Attendance was 110.
The Imani (Swahili word for faith) Gospel group from Detroit East presented a performance of Gospel songs led by Ray Moore. The congregation was encouraged to be actively involved in the praise and worship with amens, clapping and waving of hands.
Cleophus Sturdivant gave a sermon titled "How Deep Is Your Love?" A meal prepared by the members was then served.
