second round of
Evangelism Explosion

PASADENA—Our second session of Evangelism Explosion has 10 students, including Pastor Raul Ramos and his wife, Sylvia, of the Spanish congregation.

I am so happy to see the group getting excited about evangelism. Their personal testimonies have been inspiring because they have not only learned how to evangelize, but the gospel has done marvelous work in their lives.

So far, members of this group have attempted to present the gospel to more than 80 people. Forty people listened to the whole gospel presentation and 30 of them became believers.

Sheila Rowley expressed her great joy at being able to lead relatives to Christ. She admitted that for many years she did not have the courage to do it. Our members get so excited when they experience the joy of leading someone to Christ. They get surprised when the one they are leading is moved to tears. We are following up with mentoring the people we have led to Christ.

Janet Morrison took the children’s Evangelism Explosion certification in Fresno, California, and will start a children’s EE with the SonLight Club next club year. We are also planning to start another semester of EE training in Los Angeles in August.

I have to admit that before I went through EE, I was negative about it. But after having gone through the classes and later on the clinic, my view of EE has become positive. It is a great experience.
