SAN FERNANDO, California—More than 70 women from the Southern California Spanish congregations gathered Sept. 13 to attend a women’s ministry seminar conducted by the San Fernando congregation’s Ministry for Women, directed by Xochilt Ticas.
The guest presenter, Belkis Deyanira, an inspiring Christian singer and speaker, shared her personal testimony with the group and also gave advice on overcoming negative emotions, such as anger, depression and low self-esteem. Luz Marin, a member of the Pasadena Spanish congregation, said, “It is wonderful that women can come together to worship.”
The San Fernando praise team led worship, and the women’s choir presented two selections. Door prizes were won by women from the San Fernando, Hawthorne and Westminster churches. The women of the San Fernando congregation also provided light refreshments after the seminar. Sylvia Ramos.
