Bible School
SPRINGFIELD, Missouri–The Springfield church conducted a Vacation Bible School July 21 to 24 at Jim and Kaye Kissee’s home in Ozark, Missouri. Twenty-one children attended the four-hour daily event.
At the Aug. 17 worship service, the participants provided hymns, prayers, a skit, instructive biblical messages and snacks for the membership.
A highlight of the Vacation Bible School was the snack break that included authentic foods representing Jesus’ day, prepared and explained by Marty Bruton. The children were asked to at least taste the items. Herb-filled flat bread was a big hit.
In addition the youths enjoyed music, biblical instruction, a swim party at the end of one day and at the end of the week two IMAX presentations, Space Station and Coral Reef, in nearby Branson. Jim Kissee.
