All-Star Award

BLOOMINGTON, Minnesota—Jonah Skrove, 7, son of Jeff and Sarah Skrove of Zimmerman, Minnesota, received an Academic All-Star Award at the Gathering of Champions event sponsored by the Minnesota Academic Excellence Foundation at the Mall of America, Aug. 8.

A number of educators and public officials, including Mary Kiffmeyer, Minnesota secretary of state; and Cheri Pierson Yecke, commissioner of education, were on hand to present the awards. Jonah entered the second grade this fall at Zimmerman Elementary School. He attends the Living Hope Christian Fellowship in Champlin with his parents, sister Shanna, brother Jared, and grandparents Duane and Sharon Skrove. Doug Johannsen.
