Franklin Guice named
to church board
PASADENA—Franklin Guice, 65, an elder in New Hope
Christian Fellowship, the Pasadena/Eagle Rock congregation, was named to the
Worldwide Church of God board of directors in June. He replaces Dean Blackwell,
who died April 14.
Mr. Guice served on the Ambassador University board of directors from 1990 to 1997. He graduated from the Pasadena campus of Ambassador in 1975. He has been a WCG member since 1966.
Mr. Guice has an associate degree in electronics from Pasadena City College. He was in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1959 and served as a radioman.
Mr. Guice is a revenue agent for the Internal Revenue Service. He and his wife, Cora, a WCG employee since 1971, serving in the dining hall, mail processing and donation mail, and now in telecommunications, have two children, Steven and his wife, Alice, and Stephanie, and one grandchild, Kayla Gibson.
