Joseph Tkach attends
board meeting in
United Kingdom
 

EDINBURGH, Scotland—Pastor General Joseph Tkach visited Edinburgh July 25 in his capacity as chairman of the board of trustees of the WCG in the United Kingdom for the annual general meeting and quarterly board meeting.

Members of the board of trustees have long wanted to move around the United Kingdom on an occasional basis so that individual members would not always have to travel to London. Such an arrangement gives Dr. Tkach the opportunity to speak to many more members around the United Kingdom.

The annual general meeting involves procedural matters including the adoption of the audited accounts, re-election of board members, appointment of auditors and discussion of budget matters.

Dr. Tkach spoke to 80 members July 26 who had gathered from all over Scotland. George Davidson was host and welcomed Dr. Tkach and his son Joseph III, and then Irene Boyne from Glasgow sang a contemporary piece of special music.

Dr. Tkach gave a sermon on the subject of forgiveness, and Mr. Davidson presented Dr. Tkach with a set of glasses in honor of his visit. David Silcox.
