Church treasurer Bernard Schnippert signed a brokerage agreement March 22 with Grubb & Ellis Commercial Real Estate Services to sell the church's 51 plus-acre Pasadena facility.
Grubb & Ellis was selected from among four internationally known brokers to exclusively represent the Worldwide Church of God.
Bob Osbrink, senior vice president and sales manager for Grubb & Ellis, signed the contract on behalf of the real estate firm.
Afterward, at
the suggestion of Mr. Osbrink, he, Dr. Schnippert and Mat
Morgan, an assistant to Dr. Schnippert, prayed over the contract and the
sale of the property.
"I felt like we put the sale of the property in God's hands," Mr. Morgan said. "It felt wonderful to be at the point in our new understanding where we could be totally comfortable finalizing a business deal in prayer! I feel good about the people we have chosen to market the property."
Dr. Schnippert said, "This is a significant step forward, and your prayers for a successful sale will be appreciated."
