In addition to the Festival sites previously announced in The Worldwide News, the Festival Office has added a new site dedicated to marriage and family enrichment.
This Feast of Tabernacles site will be the Granlibakken Conference Center at Lake Tahoe, California. Many of our members will fondly remember wonderful Feasts at nearby Squaw Valley.
Ronald and Norva Kelly will coordinate the site. As many of you know, the Kellys have focussed much of their ministry on marriage and the family.
They will be joined by Jim and Kaye Kissee from Ambassador University as well as Chuck and Cindy Calahan from Wichita, Kansas. Both Dr. Kissee and Dr. Calahan have degrees in marriage and family counseling. Our featured guest will be Ron Jenson, author of eight books and a regular seminar presenter. Dr. Jenson is associated with Dennis Rainey and regularly conducts seminars with FamilyLife Ministries.
We're sure you will be inspired by the presentations of all the speakers. Services, seminars and workshops will focus on such topics as marriage relationships, communications, conflict resolution, parenting, teen activities, adult-teen relationships and grandparenting. Of course, some services will be dedicated to traditional Festival messages.
The seminars and workshops will be designed for married couples of all ages--from newly married couples to couples celebrating their golden anniversaries; couples who don't have children; couples with young children or teens; and couples who have an empty nest. This Feast site will concentrate on marriage and family enrichment, and we have something for all couples.
This Festival is being organized as a group site. That means everyone must stay in the same facility. Meetings and seminars are conveniently located on site. You will share meals with the group and, of course, have access to the organized Festival activities.
The cost per adult will be either $1,050 or $1,150 depending on type of accommodations. Children younger than 6 are free if they sleep in their parents' room or on a hide-a-bed. The cost for children 7 to 18 will be $500.
These costs include eight nights lodging, eight breakfasts, eight lunches, five dinners, all seminar and workshop fees and registration fees. Your only personal costs will be three dinners and transportation.
For those who wish to fly to this Feast site, Travel Gallery will offer discounted convention airfare rates to Reno, Nevada, and provide the lowest prevailing car rental rate.
The primary requirement to attend this Festival is that you be married and attend with your spouse. We have arranged for several Ambassador University students to assist with child care during the seminar sessions.
We previously announced this special Festival in the western United States only, but space is available for members from all regions and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
A question-and-answer flyer and application form are available from your pastor or Festival adviser. If no forms are available in your local church, please call Pastoral Development in Pasadena at 1-800-924-4644, extension 6157. If you are interested in this special Feast of Tabernacles, we encourage you to send your application in right away. Ronald Kelly.
