The church's Imperial High School and Elementary Schools in Pasadena closed their doors, ending a tradition that began 43 years ago.
Twenty seniors and eight juniors graduated at commencement exercises in the Ambassador Auditorium May 29.
John Halford, European regional director, and a former Imperial faculty member, delivered the commencement address.
Founded in Big Sandy in 1953 by Herbert W. Armstrong, Imperial Schools opened with two instructors and seven students.
Additional campuses were opened in Pasadena in 1955, and in Bricket Wood, England.
The Pasadena campus of Imperial Schools closed in 1974 and reopened in 1980. The Big Sandy campus of Imperial closed in 1974. The Bricket Wood campus of Imperial closed in 1975. John B. Heath.

Mr. Biggs is a medical student at the University of Texas-Houston Medical School, where he serves as vice president of the sophomore class.

MISSOULA, Montana--Lester and Sharon Miller, longtime church members, were driving back to their Indiana home April 11, when they were involved in a Montana Rail Link train derailment and chlorine gas spill.
They were rushed to St. Patrick's Hospital in Missoula, where they were admitted, Mrs. Miller in critical condition, and Mr. Miller in stable but guarded condition.
From the amount of exposure to the chlorine gas cloud, their prognosis was not good. Yet, within 13 days, they were both discharged from the hospital and returned to Indiana.
The Millers thank the brethren for their prayers. It appears to be the reason for such a speedy recovery from such a life threatening situation. Norman T. Strayer, pastor of the Missoula and Kalispell, Montana, congregations.
ST. LOUIS, Missouri--Nineteen teenagers and parents from the St. Louis North, South and Wentzville churches attended a Christian rock concert March 30 that featured D.C. TALK and Audio Adrenaline. Both groups gave the audience inspirational messages about God and Jesus Christ.
"At first I thought that there wouldn't be that big of a turnout, but when I got there I was surprised to see how many teenagers had some of the same Christian beliefs as I did," said Jessica Zimmermann of St. Peters, Missouri.
"The concert was a great youth activity to promote unity and togetherness."
DAVENPORT, Iowa--Member Bill Woods was asked to serve on the board of directors for the Davenport Center for Aging Services, Inc. (CASI).
Jerri Linehan, board president, told Mr. Woods that he is "a great asset to this organization and the community."
The Davenport congregation has met for worship services in the CASI building for more than four years, during which time Mr. Woods has volunteered for numerous CASI functions and areas of service.
He and his wife, Iretha, serve as deacon and deaconess in the Davenport church.
Pastor John Knaack said: "Bill Woods has truly let his light and the light of our church shine to the agency through his acts of service."
ACCRA, Ghana--As part of its ongoing outreach activities, more than 40 members of the Accra church donated one unit of blood each to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital's Blood Bank Feb. 18.
The blood bank, which handles most of the transfusion needs in the country, consistently falls below the units of blood needed.
Because voluntary blood donations are low, coupled with the fact that about 50 percent of the donations are contaminated with hepatitis or HIV, the blood bank is able to attain only 30 percent of its requirement.
To help clear up misconceptions associated with blood donation, the outreach committee of the Accra church invited a staff member of the blood bank to give a lecture on blood donation after services Feb. 3.
NIEUWEGEIN, Netherlands--Iepke Klarenberg, 65, retired in May after 32 years of working for the church.
