I have heard that Mr. Tkach's wife, Tammy, is on the church's payroll as an employee. How much does she earn?
Your information is incorrect. Mrs. Tkach does indeed volunteer much of her time working for the church in various capacities, but she is not an employee of the church or of any of its affiliated organizations and is not on our payroll.
Our records show she has not been an employee since 1979, the year after she graduated from Ambassador.
It should be noted, however, that the church does not refuse to hire a person simply because of their status as a spouse of a current employee. The church hires people based on their qualifications for the job after considering all legal and other relevant circumstances.
