FRIENDSHIP, New York--During the Feast, God healed Darcy Reinagel of environmental illness.
Darcy shared details of the healing with the Olean church Oct. 19, and her husband, Tim, told the Buffalo South church Nov. 2. These two churches had prayed for Darcy and Tim for five years.
"The Buffalo area is aglow with God's providence to their prayers," Tim said. "Olean is deeply touched by God's grace." Tim said he thought God was doing this for the Olean church.
"We want to be messengers of his grace," Tim said. "I was touched to introduce Darcy to half of our congregation who only saw the pin with her name on it that I wore. I called her up and gave her the pin now that she is with me again. And the people applauded."
PORTLAND, Oregon--At the Feast in Seaside, Oregon, Katie Deal, 10, told the audience: "God healed me" and "thank you for praying for me."
Katie was run over by a truck July 9 and suffered a broken hip, crushed pelvis and a severe cut under one knee. Doctors said that Katie may never walk again.
However, in early September Katie was walking on crutches. Two weeks later she was walking normally and even running.
Katie and her parents, Tom and Julie, ask for prayers that Katie's leg will grow normally. Julie said: "Katie has come a long way with all the love, prayers and concerns of the people of our church, the Worldwide Church of God."
LOS ANGELES--Steve Burks told the Pasadena church Nov. 9 how he survived being shot eight times on a freeway.
Someone from another vehicle began firing at him. Steve crossed several lanes to exit the freeway, drove to a gasoline station and asked someone to call an ambulance. Then, he looked up and saw an ambulance at the intersection. Later, a doctor told Steve all his wounds were superficial.
"When I was little I used to ask my father why God never healed anyone the way he did in the Old Testament," Steve said. "After this experience I realized that God is still healing and doing his part."
After the incident Steve told television reporters: "I am a deeply religious person."
