Church announces administrative changes

By J. Michael Feazell

As we look to the future, I believe the time has come to eliminate the office of director of Church Administration, a post I have held since September 1995.

Dan Rogers, superintendent of ministers, will continue to supervise the U.S. ministers, and Randal Dick, superintendent of missions, will continue to supervise the non-U.S. regions. The two men now report directly to Pastor General Joseph Tkach.

I praise God for the wonderful growth and development of both these leaders. Their submission to the Holy Spirit and love for the field ministers has been increasingly evident as they have walked alongside many pastors through difficult times and joyous times.

God has blessed them with increasing love of the gospel and true shepherds' hearts as they have been ground out on the gristmill of our trials along with the rest of us.

I will continue to assist the pastor general with coordination of church communications, and I will devote more time to coordination, preparation and editing of study and resource materials for pastors, ministry leaders and members.

My job title will be assistant to the president.

I thank and praise God for every one of the field ministers. They are a wonderful group of people who have been a constant source of inspiration and encouragement to me.

Their struggle has been my struggle, and I will not cease praying for God to work in them and their families to will and to do his good pleasure.

Our Father knows our needs and he longs to give us exactly what is best for us, whenever we get out of the way and allow it. He forces nothing on us. He simply stands at the door and knocks.

Our desires are so often not his desires, yet his desires are perfect for our salvation and our formation into the image of Jesus Christ.
