The International Church of the Foursquare Gospel (ICFG) invited 60 WCG officials to the annual dinner of the ICFG cabinet March 13. Before the dinner the cabinet toured WCG headquarters. The ICFG was one of the first churches to embrace the WCG after its transformation.
During the dinner John Holland, ICFG president, and his wife, Doris, gave a proclamation to Pastor General Joseph Tkach and his wife, Tammy.
The proclamation read:
Let it be known to all, that the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel gives God praise for His work of renewal in and restoration of the Worldwide Church of God, declaring this to be one of the great miracles in the Body of Christ during the twentieth century;
We commend President and Pastor General Joseph Tkach and the leaders of the Worldwide Church of God for their uncompromising conviction to the infallible Word of God and their courageous stand for those truths, in the face of great opposition and criticism;
We rejoice in the broad-based and enthusiastic acceptance which the Worldwide Church of God has received from the Body of Christ, in particular, the evangelical churches of our nation; and we covenant ourselves with the Worldwide Church of God in prayer and the sharing of mutual faith as it seeks to fulfill its new ministry assignment in the power of the Holy Spirit and in the fellowship of the saints.
