BIG SANDY--The Summer Educational Program (SEP) is proposing a one-week retreat in Orr, Minnesota, for singles, ages 19 through 30, Aug. 3 to 8.
Participants should arrive Aug. 2 and depart Aug. 9.
The cost is $395, not including transportation. This covers tuition, room and board for the week.
The purpose is to provide singles with a one-week, spiritually charged program in the pristine northern woods of Minnesota. Two biblically oriented sessions will be provided daily, interspersed with workshops and recreational opportunities.
Guest speakers are being considered, and a praise and worship band will be present. Team-building exercises, including SEP's newly developed challenge course, will be included. Other recreational activities such as windsurfing, sailing, basketball, volleyball, all-terrain biking and softball will be interspersed among sessions. The week will culminate with a banquet and dance Saturday night.
For those who are interested, a three-day canoe trip is planned after the singles week, which will cost an additional $150 per person. This canoe trip will take participants into the boundary waters of northern Minnesota.
