ST. LOUIS, Missouri--More than 500 people from St. Louis and surrounding areas of Missouri and Illinois welcomed Joe and Tammy Tkach and Sheila Graham to Henry VIII conference center Dec. 6 and 7.
Mr. Tkach gave a sermon on unconditional love. He showed from Galatians 5:22-26 that we live by the spirit, so we should keep in step with the spirit. The fruit of the spirit is the dynamic that should guide our lives.
Sunday, Dec. 7, the women returned to the conference center for a women's conference that featured Tammy Tkach and Sheila Graham from Pasadena, and Carol Meyer from Kansas City, Missouri.
Mrs. Tkach spoke on "Do You Know Who You Are?", saying that God's Spirit is there to help us. It doesn't matter who we are. What matters is who God is.
Mrs. Graham spoke on "Women's Ministry: What it is and What it Isn't." Then, we had a question and answer session.
After lunch, Mrs. Graham spoke on lay counseling, Mrs. Tkach then spoke on "Following the Lead," and Mrs. Meyer talked on "Do You Know Your Identity in Christ?"
The conference concluded with the song, "Bind Us Together."
Also on Sunday 110 men took part in a question and answer session with Mr. Tkach; a segment on family relationships presented by Jim Kissee, Springfield, Missouri, pastor; and a session on male relationships by Ray Meyer, regional pastor.
