LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas--The Little Rock church added a Sunday service in January, according to pastor Allen Bullock.
"One reason we started a Sunday service is that we have a few members who have to work on Saturday and could come on Sunday," Mr. Bullock said. "Since we have our own hall we don't have an extra charge for the facility."
Members felt that providing a service on Sunday would promote growth. The congregation is in the early stages of doing local evangelism.
"We have more growth at our Sunday service," Mr. Bullock said. "We had a record 58 May 31. We started with 35."
The Sunday service is more contemporary (lots of praise songs), and they have a small praise and worship band. Dress for this service is nice casual.
"Most members still attend on Saturday and will probably continue to do so," Mr. Bullock said. "It's hard to say where the Sunday service will go, however at present it has the best growth ratio."
