Spiritual healing in Francophone Africa

By Olivier Carion

Following are reports from Festival sites in French-speaking Africa.

Kinshasa, Congo

Two hundred twenty attended the Feast here in the capital of the new Congo. Elder Raphael Benza Tsuka, who coordinated the celebration, said that "the Feast in Kinshasa was one of spiritual healing, forgiveness, confession and reconciliation."

A man who had a foot disease was instantly healed after he reconciled with a brother in Christ.

Yaounde and Douala, Cameroon

"Unequaled spiritual richness" is how elder Jean-Jacques Ndoudoumou described the Feast in Cameroon. One hundred eighty people attended the two sites, which were closer to home for many families, enabling them to have full participation.

Cameroon members are also happy about the 21 radio broadcasts produced so far by Mr. Ndoudoumou and Jean Mvondo, which air in Ebolowa, in the Southern Province. The program airs at 8:30 a.m. every Saturday.

Kpalime, Togo

Elder Atsu Dravie reported a most joyful Feast enjoyed by all 43 attendees.

"It was obvious that God's Spirit was actively at work during the Festival," he said, adding that "the Feast rekindled the fire of celebration and fellowship. Our members commented that going to the Feast is well worth the effort and look forward to next year's celebration."
