U.S. regional pastors and international regional directors met for a combined conference at church headquarters in November.
The regional pastors began their meetings Monday, Nov. 3, and were joined by the regional directors Nov. 5.
Rod Matthews, Australian regional director, said: "It is absolutely critical for us to meet together. Members in the Australian region want to be part of what goes on worldwide. They have a worldwide vision."
Dan Rogers, superintendent of ministers, started the conference by conducting an interactive discussion of the state of the flock by asking each regional pastor to comment on his region.
Rand Holm, regional pastor in Sedona, Arizona, led a discussion about time management for pastors; and Curtis May, regional pastor in Pasadena, spoke on the ministry of reconciliation.
Treasurer Bernie Schnippert gave a financial update.
Wednesday, Nov. 5, Pastor General Joseph Tkach addressed the combined group of ministers.
Areas of discussion for the rest of the conference included establishing, combining and dissolving church congregations; an update on the Ambassador Center at Azusa Pacific University; the WCG code of ethics for ministers; and worship.
The combined conference ended with a communion service Friday, Nov. 7.
The international ministers stayed on for further meetings and ended their conference Nov. 10. They discussed characteristics of a healthy church.
