Women Who Live for the Lord: international WCG women's conference

DALLAS, Texas--Mark your calendars for the international Worldwide Church of God women's conference in Dallas, April 24 to 26, 1998.

"The overall purpose of the Women Who Live for the Lord conference is to take a time-out to celebrate our freedom in Christ and to encourage a stronger individual relationship with our Lord and Savior," said Eileen Dennis, coordinator of the conference from the Dallas Central church.

"This will also be an opportunity to reunite with friends and family and to experience a time of healing and oneness with our sisters in Christ worldwide."

Guest speakers include Joseph Tkach, and Tammy Tkach and Sheila Graham, Women's Ministry Support coordinators.

Plans are under way to reserve a hotel near the Dallas/Fort Worth airport for the conference. "We're working to keep the costs down," said Ms. Dennis. "We're looking for a nice hotel that has large enough conference rooms for us and will allow up to four women to share a room for about $100 a night. That means $25 a night for each woman."

The tentative schedule has all the primary presenters speaking on Saturday, April 25, so that those women who cannot afford to come except for the one day will not miss the main portion of the conference.

For women who can stay longer, praise and worship and prayer sessions, along with other activities, are planned for Friday evening and Sunday morning.

"Right now, it looks as if we can hold the conference for about $60 a person," said Ms. Dennis. "That fee includes one meal--lunch on Saturday. Other meals, housing and transportation will be extra."

Conference planners need to know how many women plan to attend the April 24-26 conference. Please answer the questions below and mail the form to Eileen Dennis, 4748 Old Bent Tree Rd., No. 302, Dallas, Texas, 75287.
