Our tradition has been to meet for worship during the annual festivals mentioned in Leviticus 23. Although these days are not required for Christians, we can still use them as special worship opportunities that provide extra occasions to come before our God to worship and thank him for his blessings and care.
It also has been our tradition to bring an offering to God on these extra worship occasions. We would like to emphasize the worship aspect of these offerings. When we bring the offering to God, we are asking him to accept the offering as a token of our love to him. This is an opportunity for us to show appreciation and honor to him.
Before each offering opportunity this spring, please pray that God will bless and direct you to give the offering that is appropriate for your circumstances. Then, during the service, while the offering is being taken up, please ask God to accept the offering with your love and help it to accomplish his will.
By working together as a unified body, our special offerings, coupled with regular donations, provide us with funds to pay pastors' salaries and local expenses, church hall rentals, ministerial education and support of mission fields around the world.
We have been trying diligently to use the donations for the good of all members and those who need our Savior. We thank you for your support and loyalty. Together we are, "Making a Difference for the Kingdom of God."
