BURLEIGH HEADS, Australia--A series of major changes in 1997 breathed new life and direction into the church's publishing efforts in Australia and New Zealand.
At the start of the year subscribers to the regional edition of the magazine were asked to make a donation to offset the cost of their subscription. Subscriptions dropped predictably.
At the same time a 16-page version of the magazine was offered to congregations for bulk purchase for community distribution.
Then, with the July-August issue, production of the regional magazine ceased, and in September a new bimonthly magazine was launched.
Titled Living Today, the new magazine has as its mission "to provide a message of practical help, hope and encouragement from a Christian perspective so that the gospel of Jesus Christ might be known and embraced."
