Tkaches visit
members in Bermuda

By Cecil J. Pulley

HAMILTON, Bermuda--Bermuda members welcomed Pastor General Joseph Tkach, his wife, Tammy, and regional director Charles Fleming at worship services Nov. 21.

Mrs. Tkach addressed the congregation giving an overview of women's ministry and encouraging everyone to use his or her gifts in meaningful ways.

Mr. Tkach, in his sermon, dispelled erroneous views we had about Christmas and encouraged us to make decisions based on truth. After the service, members were hosts for a Bermuda buffet luncheon in the Tkaches' honor.

Sunday morning, Nov. 22, at a meeting of church trustees, Mr. Tkach spoke about the church's incorporation and delivered a legal resolution that allows the Bermuda congregation to build a church building.

At 1:30 that afternoon, a ground-breaking service was conducted on the church's property. Mr. Tkach; Mr. Fleming; Michael Emery, architect; John Stovell, elder; members Marie Weller and Michael Caldwell; and pastor Cecil Pulley participated.

Work will commence on the site early in 1999.

Later that afternoon, Mrs. Tkach met with the women's ministry group at an afternoon tea, in which Senior Pulley was hostess. Mrs. Tkach gave a presentation titled God's Love, showing how important each person is to God.
