I hate noise.
The creak of a door, the groan of the floor,
The cawing of a seagull down by the shore,
The drip of a faucet, the drop of a pin,
The babbles of men who have had too much gin,
The screeking of nails on a chalkboard at school,
The squeek of a mouse, a splash in the pool,
The squealing of tires, a dog's howl at night,
Two teen-aged girls in the middle of a fight,
The roar of a plane, a rock band playing live,
The blare of car horns in traffic around five -
Any old noise that the silence distroys
Arises a gamut that irks and annoys.
I hate noise.
