Jesus Christ is our Saviour. He is also the One who comforts and strengthens us when we are at the lowest point of our lives. He understands us so well that He already knows what will make us frown or smile tomorrow, and what will bring tears of joy or sadness to our eyes 25 or 50 years from now.

After realizing Jesus' greatness and His concern and understanding for all of us, don't you just want to share your enthusiasm for Him with others?

Wild Fire is a section of The Rock where you, the readers, can find suggestions on how to share your love and adoration for Christ with others--like people in school, at work, in your youth group, and even in your neighbourhood.

We want the marvellous and terrific news of Jesus' unconditional love and forgiveness for all our sins to spread around the world like "wild fire"!

Sharing Your Beliefs With Others

Don't be ashamed or afraid to talk about your beliefs and convictions as a Christian with people from other denominations or religions. In fact, when the opportunity comes, welcome it. You'll be quite surprised when you discover how interested some of your friends and peers are about Jesus and God.

I remember wearing a Christian T-shirt to school one day. When one of my Christian friends asked me about it, our other friends, one of whom is a Muslim, joined our discussion about God and Jesus. She, the Muslim, had lots of questions about Jesus, and she was really interested in Him. She wanted to know why Christians view Him as more than a prophet and why He is so popular. My other friend, who is Hindu, had some misconceptions regarding Jesus and the Christian church. Most of her questions were answered and clarified from our talk that day. It was a very enjoyable discussion for me, because aside from finally being able to share my enthusiasm for our Saviour and soon-coming King with others of different beliefs, I also got to know how my friends really felt about Jesus.

After that incident, all of us eventually became more comfortable talking about our different beliefs as either a Christian, a Muslim or even as a follower of the Hindu faith. None of us worried that we would be mocked or viewed as weird anymore because of our beliefs.

It's understandable and quite natural to feel nervous and hesitant when someone asks you about your spiritual convictions. I actually tried--with obviously futile attempts--to change the subject and draw the attention away from my T-shirt before finally allowing God to work through me.

So, when you feel that panicky urge to run away whenever someone asks you who you think Jesus really is, ask Him, the One and Only Jesus, to give you the strength, courage and words you need to proclaim His wonderful Gospel to everyone. Better yet, ask Jesus to speak to the people through you!!
